PlantScanner AI was built by three high school students at a weekend hackathon, blending botany and computer vision into a single tool. Users simply snap or upload a plant photo and instantly get its common and scientific names plus tailored care tips—light levels, watering schedule, soil type, and temperature range. An onboard “care calendar” then reminds users when to water or fertilize, while an in-app community lets plant lovers swap advice and celebrate successes.
